The new MYC-YR3506 System-on-Module from MYIR provides an easy entry into modern HMI, multimedia, and IoT applications. The SoM is energy-efficient, cost-effective, and ready to deploy right out of the box.

At its core is the new Rockchip RK3506, a powerful triple-core processor running at up to 1.5 GHz. In addition, the module integrates a Cortex-M0 coprocessor, enabling highly efficient background processing and real-time functionality.

With its integrated 2D graphics engine and support for both RGB and MIPI-DSI displays, the MYC-YR3506 makes it easy to develop modern user interfaces quickly and cost-effectively.

Whether for smart displays, industrial HMIs, control panels, or connected IoT devices, the module provides a solid foundation for innovative embedded designs.

Low Power Consumption – Ideal for Embedded Designs

Perfectly suited for smart displays, operator panels, entry-level multimedia systems, battery-powered IoT devices, and industrial entry-level HMIs.

The RK3506 stands out with its exceptionally low power consumption of only around 200 mW in sleep mode and a typical power consumption of approximately 1 watt under load. This makes the module an excellent choice for energy-efficient and mobile applications.

Flexible Memory Options and Extended Temperature Support

Depending on application requirements, the module is available with 256 MB or 512 MB LPDDR3 RAM, combined with either 256 MB NAND Flash or 8 GB eMMC storage. Both variants are available for the extended industrial temperature range, making them suitable for demanding industrial environments.

In addition, many interfaces are already integrated on the module, simplifying system design and accelerating development.

For fast development cycles, the MYC-YR3506 comes equipped with a wide range of communication interfaces, including 2 × 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, 2 × USB 2.0, 2 × CAN, and 6 × UART ports. The SoM is designed for long-term availability, ensuring a future-proof platform for embedded designs.

The Board Support Package is based on the current Linux Kernel 6.1, which is expected to be maintained well into the 2030s. Combined with the RK3506 processor, developers benefit from a platform designed for long-term product availability and lifecycle support.
