Close to the Customer… A Day at the GLYN Office in Wroclaw, Poland

8:00 a.m. in the beautiful city of Wroclaw (Breslau) in Poland.

This historic city is not only known for its impressive architecture and lively cultural scene. In the electronics industry, many customers value our dynamic GLYN team based here.

Office manager Aleksander starts with a routine status meeting. Here, he and his technician Marcin discuss the latest projects and daily tasks.

While Aleksander provides customers with commercial support, Marcin takes care of all technical enquiries.

GLYN-PR: Aleks, what is there in your daily routine in addition to circuit boards and circuits?

Aleksander: Our office in Wroclaw is a place where hard work and humour always go hand in hand.

Wroclaw offers numerous opportunities for joint activities. Whether it's a boat trip on the Oder, visiting the city's numerous museums or spending a relaxing evening in one of the cosy pubs.

GLYN-PR: That sounds like a wide range. What is your favourite? We heard it's about a great little something with a little hat?

Aleksander:

That's right! Our team uses every opportunity to explore the city and its culture.

We particularly like going on trips together to see the famous dwarf statues. They are scattered throughout the city and are said to bring luck to residents and visitors alike.

There are now over 300 dwarfs to be seen in action.

GLYN-PR: We know that you are a great animal lover, Aleks. Please introduce us to your two animal friends.

Aleksander: With pleasure. On the one hand, there is my very relaxed and seemingly spineless cat.

And on the other hand, there is my car-loving German shepherd with vet-diagnosed travel fever. After a hard day's work, it's just nice to keep your ‘paws’ still and chill together.

GLYN-PR: And the next day, you are back on the road again, fully committed to your customers. Where can we meet you at a trade fair and exchange business ideas?

Aleksander: You can meet us at TEK Days, for example, last year in Gdansk (Danzig). We went prepared after an office day in the evening to set up. We not only showed displays, ePCs and wireless modules there. We were also there together with our manufacturers TOSHIBA and KIOXIA. Manufacturers and distributors present themselves together, which was very well received by the participants.

GLYN-PR: Dear Aleks, thank you very much! This shows that technical know-how and cultural diversity can go hand in hand and harmonise perfectly. Both of you are not only experts in your field.

You are also passionate ambassadors for your city and culture.
