Boost efficiency in your brushed DC motor designs –
with the 50 V / 3.5 A H-bridge driver

TOSHIBA Bauteil H-Brückentreiber

Every Move Counts!

Whether in industrial drives, automation, or smart devices – efficiency is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

TOSHIBA (distributed by GLYN) is taking efficiency to the next level — with an intelligent, compact, and powerful H-bridge driver that redefines current monitoring.

Intelligent Current Monitoring Without a Shunt

The TB67H453FTG/FNG enables space-saving and efficient control of brushed DC motors and solenoid valves. It can operate either one brushed DC motor in 4-quadrant mode or alternatively control two motors or solenoids in unipolar mode.

Thanks to its integrated current monitoring via current mirror technology, the traditional shunt resistor becomes unnecessary. This not only saves components, space, and cost, but also reduces power losses—resulting in higher energy efficiency.

Current monitoring is performed in real time, allowing microcontrollers and CPUs to precisely track the load current, dynamically adjust control signals, and optimize motor performance even under changing load conditions. The result: superior energy efficiency, precise motor operation, and fewer external components.

Compact, Safe, and Future-Proof

In addition to a standby current of only 1 µA, the driver offers comprehensive safety features, including overcurrent, overtemperature, and undervoltage protection.

The behavior in case of overcurrent can be set to either latch or auto-recovery mode—ideal for predictive maintenance and reliable continuous operation.

Technical Highlights at a Glance:

  1. Operating voltage range: 4.5 V – 45 V
  2. Output current: 3.5 A
  3. RDS(ON): typically 0.6 Ω
  4. Integrated current monitoring without shunt
  5. 4-quadrant operation or dual unipolar operation (for motors or solenoids)
  6. Standby current: 1 µA

Compact Packages

  • TB67H453FNG: HTSSOP, 5.0 × 6.4 mm
  • TB67H453FTG: VQFN, 3.0 × 3.0 mm
Both versions feature an exposed thermal pad for excellent thermal stability.

Intelligence Meets Efficiency

With the TB67H453FTG/FNG, TOSHIBA demonstrates that true innovation doesn’t always come in large packages—sometimes it measures just a few millimeters.

More performance, less effort – and maximum energy efficiency.
