SENSIRION Distributor Training –
Experience Exciting Innovations Up Close

Sensirion Gruppenfoto Distributor Training

Miniaturized, powerful, and versatile.

At the distributor training, SENSIRION unveiled the next generation of sensors. These innovations open up new opportunities in smart homes, building automation, and energy storage – and leave you eager for more.

Sensirion - Besuch in der Produktion

To this end, the manufacturer invited us to a two-day training session at their Swiss headquarters.

In addition to an exciting tour of the production – from wafer to precisely calibrated sensor – we gained insights into the latest sensor innovations.

And these will soon enrich the market.

That’s reason enough for us to take you along on a little journey to meet the future “sensor main actors”…

Sensirion CO2 Sensor STCC4

Small Components – Big Impact

Particularly impressive: the new CO₂ sensor STCC4.

Measuring just 4 × 3 × 1.2 mm³, it is about 50 times smaller than its “big brother,” the SCD40. It stands out with its drastically reduced price and extremely low power consumption. Yet it still delivers the accuracy required for indoor air quality applications. This makes CO₂ measurement a given.

Perfect for battery-powered applications such as thermostats, air quality monitors, or smart home devices.

Clean Air as Standard – Sensor Platform for Measuring Indoor Air Quality

The SEN6x family is also growing: following the SEN66, the SEN68 now enters the scene, additionally detecting formaldehyde – a first in this class. This enables applications such as air purifiers, building automation, or even vape detectors.

Sensor Plattform SEN68
The sensor platform SEN68 additionally detects formaldehyde
SFA40 Formaldehyd-Sensor
SFA40 formaldehyde sensor – six times smaller than its predecessor
SCD43
With an accuracy of ±30 ppm, the SDC43 is the most accurate sensor in the series
Massenflussregler SFC6000D
Mass Flow Controller SFC6000D

Another Highlight: The Formaldehyde Sensor SFA40. Six times smaller than its predecessor, it is ideally suited for air quality monitors and ventilation systems. The portfolio is further enhanced by the CO₂ sensor SCD43, which – with an accuracy of ±30 ppm – meets even the strictest standards such as ASHRAE 62.1-2022.

Why this focus on air quality? Because we spend around 90% of our time indoors – breathing air that is not always free from pollutants. With its sensor solutions, SENSIRION helps to safeguard health and well-being in the long term.

More Than Just Air Quality

In addition to IAQ sensors, SENSIRION also showcased exciting solutions for industry and energy:

  • SFC6000D / SFM6000D – compact mass flow controllers and meters with an attractive price-performance ratio, designed among others for semiconductor technology and shielded gas welding.
  • STC42A Hydrogen Sensor – tiny, precise, and essential for the safety of battery energy storage systems. It enables the detection of escaping hydrogen – an indicator of thermal runaway events in battery cells – for both industrial and automotive applications.

What Can We Bring You?

The training session left a strong impression: SENSIRION sets benchmarks in sensor innovation. Whether miniaturization, new measurement parameters, or safety applications – the solutions open up a wide range of opportunities for your current and future projects.
