More Efficiency with a Synchronous Step-Down Power Module

As examples, we present the two step-down converters MPM3506A (36 V / 600 mA) and MPM3510A (36 V / 1200 mA) – perfectly designed for applications in the industrial, automotive, and IT/telecom sectors.

Switching regulator, power inductor, and additional components are already integrated into a single power module.

For external circuitry, you only need the input and output capacitors (CIN & COUT) and the two feedback resistors for configuring the output voltage.

An external bootstrap capacitor is not required, which further reduces both cost and board space.

The power inductor already integrated into the power module improves EMI characteristics, since the switching node and the associated power loop are minimized.
