Qualified for Raspberry Pi 5:
Xmore® microSD Cards

microSD Karte auf Raspberry Pi5

Xmore® microSD cards and Raspberry Pi 5 are a well-rehearsed and successful team.
They particularly show their advantages in embedded systems when performance and reliability requirements are high.

Optimised for embedded systems and app performance

Xmore® microSD cards meet the SD Association's ‘Application Performance Class 2’ (A2). This classification ensures that the cards can not only read and write large amounts of data quickly, but are also suitable for demanding application profiles, such as those frequently encountered in Raspberry Pi 5. Such cards are of particular importance in embedded environments where microSD cards are used to extend the operating system environment and for app use.

Excellent test results on the Raspberry Pi 5

The cards were extensively tested on a Raspberry Pi 5 under stress conditions. They significantly exceeded the requirements of the A2 class. The measured values confirm their suitability for high IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) and consistent performance, which is crucial for applications such as databases, server tasks or continuous logging.

High reliability and robustness

During a 6-week endurance test under stress conditions, the Xmore® microSD cards demonstrated exceptional durability. They survived over 15,500 power dips without any data loss or performance degradation. This robustness is particularly relevant for industrial and safety-critical applications where reliability is paramount.

pSLC mode for increased lifespan

The tested Xmore® microSD cards work in pSLC (pseudo Single-Level Cell) mode, which significantly improves their durability and write cycles compared to standard microSD cards. This is ideal for the Raspberry Pi 5, which is often used in scenarios with intensive write volumes, such as data processing or sensor applications.

Future-proof for demanding applications

The Xmore® microSD cards are not only optimised for the current requirements of the Raspberry Pi 5, but also offer performance reserves for future, even more demanding applications. This makes them a sustainable choice for end users and developers who are looking for long-term reliability.

Conclusion:

Anyone using the Raspberry Pi 5 in performance-intensive or interruption-prone applications will benefit enormously from the use of Xmore® microSD cards. They combine high performance, robustness and reliability – decisive criteria for modern embedded systems.

We were able to convince the Raspberry testers that Xmore® microSD cards with 3D TLC memory in pSLC mode are ideally suited for use in the Raspberry Pi 5 thanks to their robustness, performance and durability.
