One for All!
Sensor Platform Measures 15 Values for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

SENX6

Tighter limits for pollutants in the European Union (EU).

The European Parliament and its member states have agreed to reduce the upper limit for particulate matter and nitrogen oxides to less than half by 2030:

  • Particulate matter from 25 to 10 micrograms per cubic meter
  • Nitrogen dioxide from 40 to 20 micrograms per cubic meter

Continuous monitoring and improvement of indoor air quality supports our health and well-being - both privately and professionally.

Until now, you had to integrate several sensors into your application at great expense in order to measure the IAQ parameters of particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide together with CO2, humidity, temperature and formaldehyde.

The SEN6x platform from SENSIRION integrates up to 14 sensor values in one module. This platform makes it possible to comply with the strict EU air quality standards through precise measurements of pollutants such as particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide.

Simple data integration via the I²C interface facilitates connection to smart home and building automation systems.

Four modules to choose from

It all starts with the SEN66, which will be available from around Q3/2024.

SEN6X Series

The world's smallest all-in-one sensor module
Common to all modules is the compact housing measuring just 54 x 24 x 22 mm³. This makes the SEN6x the smallest all-in-one sensor module on the market.

Particulate matter measurement

Miniaturized Device for Measuring Fine Dust

At the heart of the SEN6x platform is a new, miniaturized and MEMS-based particulate matter sensor.

It includes all the necessary components for measuring PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10 in a single unit, revolutionizing air quality monitoring.

In combination with the sophisticated MEMS and packaging processes, the detector, light source, signal processing and algorithm can be integrated into a single cost- and space-saving solution thanks to the patented geometric arrangement.

Compatible with Relevant Standards

The SEN6x platform is compliant with relevant healthy building standards such as RESET®, WELL Building Standard™ and California Title 24 Energy Efficiency.

Integrating the module into your device makes it possible to comply with these standards while simplifying the accreditation process.

This ensures you a short time to market and an effective cost structure.

Maintenance-free with long-term precision

Natural deposits of fine dust in conventional fine dust sensors lead to a constant deterioration in signal quality.
The accumulation of dust on all optical components such as the light source and the photodetector is particularly critical.
Devices that integrate these PM sensors output incorrect measured values after some time. This leads to malfunctions and user complaints. Maintenance/service is due or replacement devices must be provided.

SENSIRION's unique and patented contamination resistance technology and durable components give the SEN6x platform unsurpassed robustness, long-term stability and high accuracy with a lifetime of more than 10 years in continuous operation with 24 hours/day use.

Get Started Right Away with the Starter Kit

With the SEK-SEN6x, in combination with the SEK-SensorBridge, you have a complete plug-and-play solution. With the associated viewer software, called ControlCenter, you can display and record the measured values of the sensors directly on your PC.

You can also connect the SEK-SEN6x to an Arduino or Raspberry Pi using the included jumper cables. The corresponding software is available free of charge directly from SENSIRION.
As a third option, you can solder the SEN66 to your own application using the enclosed pin headers and thus test the performance of the module.

The starter kit will also be available from the GLYN warehouse from around Q3/2024.
