Where Quality Meets Affordability:
The New 13D Display Series From EDT - Part 1: 3.5" - 7.0" TTL Interface

Display manufacturer EDT presents its new 13D Value Line display series.
This consists of a total of 8 different displays with different resolutions for particularly price-sensitive applications.

In the first part of our series, we present the displays with TTL interface. These are available in the following resolutions:

• 3.5" QVGA (320x240)
• 4.3" WQVGA (480x272)
• 5.0" WVGA (800x480)
• 7.0" WVGA (800x480)

The 7.0" module is available with either TN-LCD or IPS-LCD.

The 3.5", 4.3", 5.0" and the 7.0" with TN panel use a color depth of 24-bit. The 7.0" with IPS panel appears in a color depth of 18-bit. 218 colors can be displayed with 18-bit and 224 colors with 24-bit.

Optionally with touch panel

The display modules are available with or without a touch panel. The displays with touch use an additional capacitive touch panel including the corresponding ILITEK ILI2118A touch controller. The IIC is available as an interface for reading the touch panel or the touch controller on these display modules. This touch controller is a cheaper version compared to the more powerful ILITEK controllers. However, it can also be used in industrial environments with very good EMC immunity.

Brightness and backlight service life

All modules have a typical brightness of 500 cd/m² or 425 cd/m² for the touch variants and a minimum backlight service life of 30,000 hours. The LCD and the touch controller require an operating voltage of 3.3 V.

Customized adaptations from 1000 pieces

These displays are available from GLYN from a minimum order quantity of 1000 units. From this purchase quantity, it is also possible to customize, remove or add individual components of the new 13D display series. Do you need a decorative glass panel adapted to your housing front?

You can also take full advantage of this technology with these modules with IPS panel. These variants allow position-independent use in the respective application.

Adapter boards including LED driver for a quick start

We have developed adapter boards including LED drivers so that you can easily convince yourself of the 13D series. These are available for initial testing and evaluation. On request, we can present the display series to you using demos.

Adapter boards and demo unit

GLYN has developed adapter boards including LED drivers to enable you to quickly evaluate and commission the display. These are available for you to control yourself so that you can see the display for yourself. The circuit diagrams of the adapter boards can be provided by GLYN.
