Real Time Clock RV-3028-C7 from MICRO CRYSTAL

Extremely high time accuracy with extremely low current consumption at the same time.

The new real-time clock RV-3028-C7 from MICRO CRYSTAL requires only 45 nA.
This ultra-compact high-performance RTC sets new standards in miniaturisation, requiring only half the space of a uSOP-8 package.

 

The RV-3028-C7 RTC is ideal for applications that require an extremely long battery life or where there is no space for large batteries.

These include applications in smart metering, wearables, IoT and similar industrial or consumer applications.

Energy management function
The built-in energy management function enables a wide voltage range of 1.1 - 5.5 V. A small capacitor can also be connected to the battery. A small capacitor, rechargeable battery and button cell can also be installed for buffering.

Data protection and UNIX timer
In addition to all the standard RTC functions, the module contains several extra functions, such as EEPROM memory, the matching data protection by a password or the
UNIX timers, which can hold the UNIX time or are useful for other things, such as the operating time of the unit to the second. In addition, 6 CLKOUT frequencies from 1 Hz - 32768 Hz can be programmed so that the RTC outputs the desired frequency immediately at the next start. There is also an EEPROM register in which the frequency drift due to the ageing of the internal quartz can be corrected. The device is controlled via I2C.
