History: In 1984 Toshiba developed a new semiconductor memory – the flash – and started a new era of memory way before their competitors did. After a while, in 1987 the development of the NAND flash memory started and since that day, the NAND flash memory has been used in various memory cards and electronical devices. The market of NAND flash memory grew rapidly and the flash memory was announced to be the international standard memory device. Toshiba, the founder of the flash memory leveled off the way to a new era, where we can take videos, music and data with us wherever we want to, no matter where we are. 2017 the Toshiba Memory Cooperation was founded. On October 1st 2019 Toshiba Memory Cooperation changed to KIOXIA Holding. KIOXIA’s Mission: Uplifting the world with “memory”
