Linux-Kernel powered by Ka-Ro-Elektronik
Ka-Ro GIT
Linux has found its way into almost all product segments in the electronics market. In order to give our customers an optimal entry into the embedded Linux world, Ka-Ro relies on mainline Linux.
Adaptations are made by our own engineers. This enables Ka-Ro to offer comprehensive support and customisation services.
Yocto Project
Windows Embedded Compact powered by Ka-Ro electronics
The Yocto project is an open source project that provides templates, tools and methods to generate Linux-based systems for embedded products.
More information about the Yocto project can be found on the Yocto project page of

Windows Embedded Compact is also available for many TX modules.
All customisations have been carried out by the Ka-Ro engineering team. This enables Ka-Ro to offer support and customisation services.
Androidâ„¢
Bootloader - Universal Boot Loader
Android is available for the TX6 family. We offer individual customisations through our partner kernel concepts. This includes:
- Adaptation of the Android system to your hardware and interfaces.
- Development of own Android Java APIs (JNI) and connection of system-related services and applications.
- Customised application development
- Tailoring of the system to the customer's application ("customising"): removal of unnecessary applications, kiosk mode, automatic application start, etc.
Ka-Ro TX modules are always delivered with U-Boot pre-installed.
U-Boot supports several low-level debugging options and file download via Ethernet or serial X / Y / Z modem.
All customisations were carried out by the Ka-Ro engineering team. This enables us to offer comprehensive support and customisation services.
