With the synchronous DC/DC buck converter, you can build 4 advantages into your applications:

Wide input voltage range The input voltage range of 4.5 V to 42 V covers the main industrial voltages of 36 V, 24 V, 15 V and 12 V.
Adjustable output voltage The output voltage can be freely parameterized between 0.8 V - 20 V by means of a voltage divider. You remain flexible for new challenges.
Layout-friendly The pinout, the internal compensation circuitry and the synchronous topology ensure an easy and speedy PCB layout in the smallest space.
High efficiency Efficiencies of 80 % to 95 % reduce heat generation and enable longer use of the application with battery or rechargeable battery operation.

Now more about the technical features:

The buck converter in the TSOT-23-6 package delivers output currents of up to 1200 mA. The external circuitry is limited to the input and output capacitors, a bootstrap capacitor, the feed-back voltage divider and the storage inductor.

The PWM switching frequency of fSW = 1.2 MHz allows the use of small, low-cost partially shielded or shielded inductors in the range of 4.7 µH to 10 µH.

For example, an upstream SGM61412A offers the possibility to feed a 4.3" TFT display, which requires an operating voltage of 3.3 V @ 600 mA, directly from a 24 V industrial voltage with an efficiency of ɳ > 80 %.
