LoRa® and LoRaWAN® in a small form factor:
Power-saving modules for battery-powered sensor applications
MIROMICO is a leader in LoRa® and LoRaWAN® modules.
The Swiss manufacturer facilitates the simple integration of LoRa® into its own application via small modules. The right LoRa® solution is available for almost any application.
FMLR - Radio Module Long Range
The LoRa® and LoRaWAN® IoT modules of the FMLR family enable the wireless connection of devices, systems and sensors that communicate at high data rates or over a long distance. The 2.4 GHz modules support distance measurements over long distances using time-of-flight (ToF) techniques. Power consumption can be optimized for operation with a small battery. The integrated ARM Cortex-M4 32-bit microcontroller controls complete RF stacks and has sufficient resources to run user applications. The system can be easily expanded with low-power sensors to build production-ready IoT sensor nodes.
All FMLR modules are prepared for seamless integration into LoRaWAN networks. The modules are available with additional onboard flash memory to enable over-the-air (OTA) updates and data storage.
The FMLR family is available in the standard 14 x 19.5 mm module footprint or as the world's smallest LoRa® module currently available in the 7.4 x 8.2 mm form factor.
You can see a short 2-minute introduction to the FMLR family in this video:
FMLR-61-STL0Z
FMLR-61-STL0Z is a LoRa® and LoRaWAN® IoT module that provides wireless connectivity for sub-GHz devices and sensors. With frequency coverage from 150 MHz to 960 MHz, it supports all major sub-GHz ISM spectrums around the world. In addition to the LoRa® modulation scheme, the module also supports (G)FSK modulation for legacy use cases.
Due to its low power consumption, the module is ideal for applications with small batteries. The integrated low-power 32-bit ARM Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller with 192 kB Flash and 20 kB RAM provides sufficient resources to run advanced user applications.
FMLR-1110-STL0Z
The new FMLR STM LR1110 is a low-power IoT platform in a module that integrates a long-range LoRa® transceiver, multi-constellation GPS/GNSS wireless scanners, and passive Wi-Fi AP MAC addresses for asset management applications.
The LR1110 solution leverages Semtech's LoRa Cloud™ geolocation capabilities to significantly reduce power consumption by determining asset location in a cloud-based solver.
The integrated ARM Cortex-M0+ 32-bit microcontroller runs the entire RF stack and has sufficient resources to run user applications. An accelerometer and a combined humidity/temperature sensor are integrated into the module. The module supports additional modulation schemes besides LoRa®. These are (G)FSK and Long Range-Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (LR-FHSS), which is mainly used for LPWAN applications.
In addition to the sub-GHz transceiver capabilities, the device has a low-power multi-band front end that can acquire 802.11 b/g/b/ Wi-Fi access point MAC addresses and GNSS satellite signals (GPS, BeiDou, geostationary). The captured information is transmitted to a geolocation server over an LPWAN link. The geolocation position is calculated by the geolocation server to enable low-power operation of the module.
FMLR-WL-STE5
FMLR STM-WL multiprotocol IoT modules enable devices and sensors to communicate at high data rates or over long distances in the sub-GHz band.
The modules support LoRa®, (G)FSK, (G)MSK and BPSK modulation schemes and are fully compatible with standard or proprietary protocols such as LoRaWAN®, Sigfox™, W-MBus, MIOTY® and others.
Power consumption can be optimized to run on a small battery, and the 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 MCU with 256 kB Flash and 64 kB SRAM provides sufficient resources to run advanced wireless stacks and user applications.
