MICRO CRYSTAL offers four new specified accuracy ranges for its real-time clock series RV-3032-C7:

  • +/- 1.5 ppm (0 °C to 50 °C at 1.2 - 5.5 V)
  • +/- 3 ppm (-40 °C to 85 °C at 1.2 - 5.5 V)
  • +/- 2.5 ppm (-40 °C to 85 °C at 1.3 - 5.5 V)
  • +/- 20 ppm (85 °C to 105 °C at 1.3 - 5.5 V)

Extremely low current consumption

The RTC series offers extremely high timing accuracy at an extremely low current consumption of 160 nA. This ultra-compact high-performance RTC module sets new standards in miniaturization. It requires only half the space of a uSOP-8 package.

The RV-3032-C7 is ideal for applications that require the highest accuracy over a long period of time, at a wide temperature range, as well as a long battery life.

Typical applications include smart metering, wearables, IoT industrial or consumer applications.

The built-in energy management function allows a wide voltage range from 1.2 to 5.5 V. A TDK CeraCharge™ solid-state battery capacitor or a coin cell can be connected directly for buffering. In addition to all standard RTC functions, the device includes several extra features, such as password protection or freely programmable

output frequency in 8 kHz steps up to 67.109 MHz.

In addition, the functions "three Time Stamp Register", "Temperature Low Threshold Undercut",

"temperature high threshold exceeded" and "trigger via event interrupt" are already integrated. The device is controlled via I2C.

    160 nA at 3 V and 25 °C in battery backup mode
  • Smart Power Management
    Automatic switchover to backup capacitor / rechargeable battery / button cell
  • Temperature threshold detection
    Temperature window interrupt, time stamp for temperature alarm events
  • Tamper detection and fraud protection
    External interrupt with time stamp combined with password
  • Ultra compact housing
    3.2 x 1.5 x 0.8 mm ceramic housing with reliable vacuum seal
