The new TXSD computer-on module from Ka-Ro based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 410E. It offers integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as extended graphic and multimedia support. An energy-efficient design ensures that it is also ideal for battery-operated applications.

Processor
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 410E processor is a 64-bit SoC with four ARM® Cortex®-A53 cores that operates at a maximum of 1.2 GHz. The Snapdragon processor also incorporates an Adreno 306 graphics unit as well as a radio module for WLAN and Bluetooth.

Power consumption
The Snapdragon 410E is manufactured with the 28 nanometre process. Power consumption is therefore very low and the module is extremely effective in battery-operated applications.

Adreno™ 306 graphics unit
The integral Adreno™ 306 graphics unit operates at 400 MHz and offers 24 ALUs, which are designed as unified shaders. The graphics unit achieves a performance of 21.6 GFLOPS. OpenGL ES 3.0, OpenCL, DirectX and Content Security are supported.
The multimedia capabilities of the TXSD include playing back 1080p videos and supporting cameras with up to 13 megapixels. The module has an LVDS display interface.

Long-term availability of the Ka-Ro TX series
Exceptional scalability, comprehensive long-term availability and a broad spectrum of peripheral options have helped the products in the TX series become widely accepted in different market segments. The TXSD is designed for a minimum availability of ten years (up to 2025). It is therefore one of the few wireless products that also offers the longevity that is so important for the industry.

Flexible exchange
The pin and function-compatible modules from Ka-Ro offer you greater flexibility.
Simply exchange - both upwards and downwards compatible.

The Ka-Ro starter kit offers a basic development platform identical in design for all TX modules that allows you to achieve a quick time to market. The starter kit for the TXSD will be available from Q2/2017.
