The TOSHIBA TMPM37X series has a hardware Vector engine that relieves the processor. This leaves more processing power for other tasks. The controller operates at 5 V. This means that no additional level shifters for high-power drivers are required. This saves the cost of additional components.

The TOSHIBA TMPM37X series has been optimised for brushless DC motors.

Taking load off the CPU results in lower clock frequencies in the system as a whole. This in turn leads to lower power consumption. The hardware Vector engine will only provide the motor with exactly as much power as it needs in any situation. This also increases the lifespan of the application. The sinus commutation allows for ripple-free (vibration-free) control. This makes the series suitable for low-noise motor applications.

TOSHIBA also offers a detailed and well-designed tool chain for more rapid testing and easy operation of the motors. The free graphic motor-tuning tool "Motormind" is provided, for example.
