This is "EVE":
EVE stands for "Embedded Video Engine" and is made by FTDI.
You receive three controllers as part of a single component:

  1. Graphics (QVGA/WQVGA)
  2. Sound
  3. Resistive Touch

The aim of EVE is to get an attractive graphics solution in a quick and easy way. No prior knowledge of graphics programming is required.

The data link is via SPI or I2C bus. Both the hardware and software are reduced to a minimum.
